My name is Max Foster. I’ve spent ten years working in the made-to-measure custom clothing industry, and for the majority of my career I kept coming back to one problem:

Premium custom clothing can be expensive, but the garment itself isn't always the reason why.

When you buy a suit from a traditional retailer, you're paying for much more than fabric and construction. You're helping pay for storefront rent, payroll, marketing, commissions, corporate salaries, alterations, remakes, customer service, and the countless other expenses required to operate a full-service clothing business. There is nothing inherently wrong with that model. If you want someone to guide you through every fabric, take your measurements, design your garment with you, and assume responsibility if something needs to be altered or remade, that service has value, but you pay for it. I created Pick Stitch because I wanted to offer another option.
